  BREAKING: Ekiti Assembly Speaker, Aribisogan Impeached Ekiti State Assembly Speaker, Gboyega Aribisogan, has been impeached and suspended indefinitely by members of the Assembly. Olubunmi Adelugba has now been elected as the new speaker. The Osogbo Action Committee has been advised not to incite the people against the Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola. The group was also advised to put an end to the falsehood being spread around that the Oyetola administration intends to dethrone the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji. The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Oyetola, Ismail Omipidan in a statement, stated that the letter to the governor asking him to stay action on a non-existent process is not only mischievous but also a wicked one. Omipidan also alleged that the letter was deliberately designed to pitch the people against the governor and his government by agents of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who had allegedly masqueraded as community leaders.  AKOGUN BROTHERS GRANTED BAIL BY THE COURT AGAINST THE WISH OF AJAKAYE. There was serious drama as the prosecutor from the Commissioner of Police was not informed that the Office of the Attorney General has taken over the case through his counsel. The prosecutor from the Commissioner of Police later withdraws from the case after forth and back arguments. Thereafter, the state counsel asked the court for 24hrs to study the bail application and apply for a counter, in a bid to further detain the Akoguns. The court however has this to say: Since the police that was prosecuting the case had refused to file a counter application while still in charge, the state counsel cannot file it any longer, as such, the request of the state counsel is hereby dismissed.
