 AKOGUN BROTHERS GRANTED BAIL BY THE COURT AGAINST THE WISH OF AJAKAYE. There was serious drama as the prosecutor from the Commissioner of Police was not informed that the Office of the Attorney General has taken over the case through his counsel. The prosecutor from the Commissioner of Police later withdraws from the case after forth and back arguments. A renowned constitutional lawyer, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, has reacted to the disqualification of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola as the candidate of the APC in the July 16 governorship election in Osun State. A Federal High Court in Abuja nullified the candidature of Governor Oyetola and his deputy, Benedict Alabi, on the ground that Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State who submitted their names to INEC violated the provisions of Section 183 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Section 82(3) of the Electoral Act 2022 In a statement on Friday, Ajulo expressed fear that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and other candidates of the party may face similar fate.
