ENTERTAINMENT IN OSOGBO, A SHADOW OF CULTURE AND TOURISM.

Osogbo is known for its cultural heritage and value. The town has become a major tourism center in Nigeria.
The past administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola tremendously promote culture and tourism in the state and has subsequently brought Osun Osogbo in the forefront of culture and tourism in Nigeria.
It will be noted that at every Osun Osogbo festival, the city is always lighted up with different musical shows as a means of celebration during the festive period.
But with all this during the festive period it is of a surprise that entertainment goes back to sleep until the next festive period.
Most affected is the promotion of local artist and upcoming hip-hop artists.
My horroscopic study of entertainment industry in Osun clearly shows that entertainment is not well appreciated in Osun unlike other state like neighbouring state of Kwara.
Osun state needs the presence of an entertainment group that will open the entertainment market and give it it's value in the state. The city of Osogbo is too dull of entertainment activity except for few hotels that run night clubs, there is no where in Osogbo where upcoming artist are given the opportunity to showcase their talent.
Even when most of the club houses has become targets of sars and efcc gunning after the so called yahoo boys when the real yahoo men in the National Assembly are been celebrated.
Although it would take anyone a great task to open up entertainment in Osun,it will also go a long way to boost the economy of the state. We should help our young artist develope and grow to compete with artist from other parts of the world.
Let's support entertainment in Osun to make the state number one among states in Nigeria.

    Yeah. Good write up. I think if our stake holder can form a group both hotelians and club runner comes together and address not only state government but federal level every thing we be back to normal bcus this is not osun we all known be4
